Version 1.4 Released
We are proud to announce the release of iCMS Version 1.4.
This version sees a number of updates and enhancements. These change will hopefully provide a better experience for the user of iCMS, this is especially true for the surfer. There are 2 major enhancments the module engine and the search engine optimisation. Both of these items will greatly improve the functionality of iCMS.
The
serach engine friendly facility will allow the seaarch engine robots,
spiders, and crawlers to easily and successfully index the entire web
site, including all stories and blog / journal entries.
The iMOD engine will allow for new functionality to be easily install on a per item request. There are a number of modules being developed at the moment, a shopping cart and a newsletter module as examples. There will be other in the near future, and notices will be posted here when these mods will be available.
On top of these updates we have our standard features, a RSS feed which is easily accessable from the main menu area, Gallery, Documents, links, Stories / Articles, Blog / Journal, Calendar and Search tools, all available from the main menu area. All these are standard with iCMS, all wrapped in a easy to use interface.
Plus we have templates that are simple to design and install for yourself. If you have some artistic flair, you could download our icms_designer template pack and change the style, images and placement of the menu's and other elements of iCMS, or if you would just like to change the basic colors, its a straight forward process.
